ANDY DOMBRO, MD, DIRECTOR AND MEDICAL ADVISOR
 
He serves as Chief Medical Officer of Medimerica Health. a chronic care management and point of care pharmacy company.  He has been Medical Director  for BridgeHealth Medical, a leading Surgery Benefit Management company.  Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine, he has practiced medicine in a variety of settings for more than 20 years.  He has served as a faculty member at a major University Medical Center, responsible for the education and mentoring of medical students and residents in the Division of Internal Medicine’s Hospital Medicine Section, and serves as Physician Liaison in the Department of Medical Informatics.  He is also a contributing author to a medical textbook.

In addition to his broad knowledge as a clinician and educator, Dr. Dombro has considerable experience and a history of leadership as a healthcare executive and consultant.  Prior to joining BridgeHealth Medical, he has served as Executive Vice President of an Occupational Medicine Corporation, Medical Director of both an Internal Medicine and Emergency Medicine group, and Board Member for several medical groups with which he has been affiliated.  He is also currently a Regional Medical Director for a prominent national hospital consulting firm with specific expertise in implemention of strategies around the Accountable Care Act. 

As a skilled and experienced lecturer/speaker, Dr. Dombro has presented at a variety of medical gatherings, including hospital grand rounds, medical conferences, and various corporate events, on a broad range of topics.  His diverse audiences have included physicians and other healthcare professionals, as well as healthcare executives and administrators. 

Dr. Dombro received his medical degree from the Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York and completed residency training in Internal Medicine from the University of Louisville Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Physiology from the University of California at Berkeley, where he graduated Phi Beta Kappa.
